Sphere is hosting a Ruby meetup in St.Petersburg

Yes, we are going to host a Ruby meetup again in St.Petersburg on September 14.

We are going to cover Rails 3.1, CoffeeScript, Asset Papeline, Bundler’s secrets, Knockout.JS and much more.

Sphere Consulting to Attend Windy City Rails Conference

Sphere Consulting will be participating in the annual Windy City Rails one-day conference.

On September 17, 2011, Chicago, Illinois – WindyCityRails Conference will open its doors to those who are passionate about Ruby on Rails. The conference will focus on providing training and information on Ruby on Rails for those who want to improve their skills, network with other professionals and hear the top professionals of the Ruby on Rails community.

The Windy City Rails Conference will be held at the Westin Chicago River North, Illinois and is easily accessible from the airports and via public transportation. Sphere Consulting employees will participate in WindyCityRails to share their expertise and to gain some knowledge in the latest trends in the Ruby community and to build professional relationships with the participating companies.

One of the most anticipated sessions for Sphere is GitHub flavored Ruby, by GitHub cofounder Tom Preston-Werner. Sphere has been using GitHub since 2009 and we look forward to learning how GitHub does Ruby. Another one we’re looking forward to is High Performance Ruby, by Dr. Nic Williams, EngineYard VP of Technology. Our Ruby meetups in March brought over 100 developers together

I’m very excited to write that two Ruby meetups we organized in St.Petersburg, Russia and Kiev, Ukraine could bring over a hundred Rails developers together. To be precise it was our third meetup in Russia and the first one in Kiev, Ukraine where we recently opened a new R&D center.
